Hey everyone - let’s talk AND/life App Programs!!
A new member brought up a great question about AND/life App Programs that i think would help everyone.
AND/life app programs are designed to help you ingrain the app’s four daily goals as a habit. I suggest doing a 7-14 day program if you’re just starting out, and then doing 3 day programs ongoing (say tues-thurs) to keep your good choices rolling and solidify them as habits.
Here are some more helpful tips:
Program reminders will nudge you to exercise at the time you intend with options based on the priorities you gave me when you set up your account. To adjust your profile and preferences, tap your face on the reports page (bottom right icon on the home screen). Programs are really helpful in getting started or getting over plateaus because they will suggest class and custom workout options you would not choose for yourself (exactly why people hire me as their personal trainer!)
Programs are really helpful and stop to drink water and stand up and move around a bit. They will also remind you to log your food choices - remember that this is a discovery journey for what makes you feel best digestively and energetically, so all that really matters are the portion sizes, Habit Food vs. Social Foods and meal time. It’s totally ok to keep this easy on yourself and not log exact foods.
If you do want to keep track of exact foods, make sure to tap Go-To Meal Times for all the AND/life recipes you might be using. This will allow those recipes to show up in the tracker at the mealtimes you are logging. Otherwise, you can always just take a picture.
Reminders will come across your phone at the select times either in your lock screen, notification center, or as a banner depending on how you have your phone set up:
1) Please go to settings on your phone, find the AND/life app and tap Notifications.
2) Please tap Allow Notifications and all types.
3) We suggest you choose persistent notifications instead of temporary, so that you have to tap that you saw it and it won’t automatically disappear.
4) You can adjust your reminders by tapping the red program button at the bottom of the home screen, and then tapping Manage Programs.
