Hey everyone! First time actually posting a question here and I feel a little silly asking but here goes.... This time of year is always super busy for me, with the holidays approaching, work, the kids fall sports in full swing- I tend to get really overwhelmed and stressed. Any advice on how to get it all done and still stay sane?? 😳 TIA

I vote get her the app (but I’m biased 🤣🙌🏻)
Hi Abigail
Resonates with me. I was you... it was like total overwhelm. Im in NZ, surfing and rugby mad kid, taxi to training, manage team, swimming Uber driver, cook you name it like most mums.. and run 2 business's 🙈. I have saved my favourite meals into my ANDLIFE app the quick but healthy ones. 1 yr membership so affordable. A 'quick screen tap' on yr fave meals and yr away. Done.
Also I wake up 1 hr b4 everyone do emails and prep lunches walk eat, me time and go to bed when kids do and journal my day, gratitude, priority for next day. Was a game changer. It really works. Its the you time thats probably missing and less time stressing over whats quick n healthy to eat. All the best. Susan
I have been using the app for so many make ahead breakfasts and it has totally converted me from never eating breakfast to never missing it! It really has been a wonderful change and I def see the benefits in my mood :)
Welcome Abigail! Wow - this is a great question and not at all silly. The way I deal is to have certain "rituals" throughout my day, that are actually beneficial habits.
For example, I make a "meditation" of sorts out of watering my plants each day simply by noticing my breath and focusing on nothing but the plants.
I almost never miss my 20 minutes of exercise everyday - but I don't freak out if it changes. Like when I'm traveling, it my just be a walk and a 8 minute workout on the floor of my hotel room. It's about the consistency of taking time each day - again, it doesn't matter how - to get my heart rate up a bit, oxygenate my body and mind, release tension and feel my own power as my muscles move. This takes workout time to ritual time.
Also, I turn food prep into a ritual each day. I always make myself something nourishing and superfood-y for breakfast, lunch and my afternoon snack. Whether it's just the three minutes it takes to make apple nut butter sandwiches or one of my quick spinach "toss" recipes, I use the time to breath and focus on a task I do with my hands that I can actually complete right there in the moment.
I think so much of our stress in life comes from how "unfinished" all of our endeavors are. So much of life now is shifting things off our plate onto someone else's and then waiting for the response. Turning tasks that you already do each day which can definitely complete into ritual (again simply by being aware of your breathing and focusing entirely on the task at hand) is one of the best ways I know to inject calm into a really busy schedule without adding anything on.
I'd love to hear other folks' ideas! Please share your thoughts with Abigail!
